Decent tool, some minor issues

I recently tried Brivvio for some client work, specifically the branding tools and social media video templates. The templates were a good starting point and saved me some design time, which is a plus. The ability to upload custom fonts was also helpful for maintaining brand consistency. However, I found that rendering 4K video could be a bit slow on my older phone, even though it eventually got there. It's a solid platform for the price, but they could probably optimize the rendering performance a bit more.

Consistent performance, I keep coming back

I've been using Brivvio on and off for about a year now, mainly for the teleprompter app and adding quick captions to my YouTube Shorts. This latest subscription renewal was a no-brainer. The quality of the voice-to-text engine has stayed consistent, which is key for me. It's reliable, and I haven't run into any major glitches that would make me look elsewhere. It just works, every time.

Good for quick social media videos

I got the annual plan for Brivvio a few months ago after seeing some good reviews. The video editor itself is pretty intuitive on my phone; I mainly use it for Instagram Reels. The automated captions are a huge time-saver and they're surprisingly accurate, though I always do a quick pass to catch any errors. I also messed around with the logo overlay tool which was simple enough to use. Customer support was responsive when I had a question about exporting a specific aspect ratio; they got back to me within a day. Delivery isn't really a thing since it's an app, but the download and setup was fast. Overall, it does what it promises for social media content creators.

Hey, I'm thinking about getting Brivvio, but curious about the free trial. Is it actually free or do they ask for card details up front and auto-charge?

S Shane Kim 2 weeks ago
I think you can sign up for the trial without immediately getting charged. Just make sure to cancel if you don't like it within the week, otherwise it rolls over.

B Brett Kaur 2 weeks ago
Yeah, it's a 7-day free trial. You gotta put in card details but you can cancel before it charges. Just remember to set a reminder!

If I get the annual plan, how much do you actually save compared to just paying monthly? Trying to figure out if it's worth committing.

C Carly 1 month ago
It's usually around 20-40% off if you pay for the whole year. Pretty standard for SaaS stuff.

R Rosa 1 month ago
I got about 30% off switching to annual. Definitely worth it if you plan on using it for more than a few months.

Can you actually get rid of the Brivvio watermark on videos, or is that only with the really expensive plans?

R Rosa 1 month ago
Yeah, if you're on a paid plan, the watermark is gone. That's one of the main benefits of subscribing.

No watermark on paid versions. You only see it on the free trial exports, I think.

Anyone know if Brivvio works well on Android phones? I mostly use my Samsung for editing and don't want to sign up if it's only good on iPhones.

C Carly Lindqvist 3 weeks ago
My buddy uses it on his Android no problem. I'm on iOS but he says it's pretty much the same experience.

It's designed for both, so you should be good. I use it on an older Pixel and it runs fine for most things. Just check if your specific model is super old maybe?

What's the deal with refunds? If I subscribe for a year and then decide it's not for me after a month, can I get my money back for the unused portion?

T Tara 3 weeks ago
I don't think they do partial refunds for annual plans. Most places just let you finish out your term.

You'd have to check their exact policy, but usually, once you commit to an annual plan, you're locked in for the year. You can cancel future renewals though.

Where do you even put a referral code if you have one? I'm signing up and don't see a box anywhere.

N Nick Brooks 1 month ago
It's usually during checkout, either in the app or on their website. Keep an eye out when you're selecting your plan.

When you're picking your subscription, there should be a little link that says 'Have a promo code?' or similar. Click that.

I saw someone mention a lifetime deal for Brivvio a while back. Is that still a thing, or was it a limited-time offer?

C Cleo 1 month ago
Nah, those lifetime deals usually pop up once for early birds. I missed it too, sadly.

W Wendy 1 month ago
I think those are gone. They had one around launch, but now it's mostly annual plans for savings.

Does Brivvio have a better teleprompter than, say, CapCut or Veed.io? That's the main feature I'm after.

M Megan 3 weeks ago
For just teleprompter, Brivvio is solid. It's built right in and pretty customizable. CapCut's is okay but not as robust imo.

D Derek Patel 2 weeks ago
I tried both. Brivvio's teleprompter felt more natural to use, especially for longer scripts. Veed's was a bit clunkier for me.
